Starting with the famous Roman bridge in Hospital de Orbigo:
I had a very nice hike in different kinds of landscape: cornfields and agriculture, then oak tree forests, hills, nice flowers, a nice mix and behind every corner a new vieuw. I could realyy enjoy it today becaus my hiking distance was much shorter than yesterday.
I came across a hut where delicious fruit juices, koffie and cakes were offered by a young man from Barcelona. I had a short conversation with him and to my big suprise he made a spontaneous donation for my project. Overwheming !! I´m walking on sunshine !!
Today my destination is Astorga, famous for its Bishop's Palace that was designed by Antonio Gaudi. I'v seen Gaudi architecture in Barcelona, but what I came across in Astorga is so different in the field of creativity: the palace is a mixture of Schloss Neuschwanstein in Germany and a Dracula castle.
I¨ve lit a candle today for the members of the European congress of NPH which started in Barcelona yesterday. Wish you good luck and innovative results.
