The project

In Haïti  there is no monitoring during pregnancy. When there are complications pregnant women (and babies) are mostly in critical condition when they come to our hospital. To save their lives doctors often make a Caesarean section, as there is no ultrasound device to make a good diagnose. In a poor country like Haïti the death rate of mothers and children is very high: the chance to die during pregnancy of child birth  is 1 in 80.

The project:
Our St. Damien children's hospital (2.786 births in 2017) urgently needs an ultrasound device for  good diagnosis (costs: about € 6.000,-)
