Update projecten 2013

Herewith an update of last year's projects: study finance of young people of NPH Guatemala.

1. Study finance of High School students (the project of hike4education 2013): 

          

Thanks to the donations of hike4education 2013 (Euro 14.918,-) and thanks to a generous donor who donated the missing Euro 5.000,-  the study of all 59 High School students in Guatemala could be financed. Several students graduated and are doing their year of service now, others still have to go to High School for 1 or 2 years.

2. Study finance of university students (= project of  hike4education 2012):
Wilmer is in his 2^nd year now (business administration). He had great results after  his first year and just passed all exams of the 1st semester of his 2nd year. Well done, Wilmer! He asked me if it was possible to do English classes as well (in the weekends). After the first term he showed me his excellent  results: only 9 en 10.

His brother Jacinto was invited to Seattle, USA, for a 9 months study (Leadership Program). From July-December 2013 he did 6 months of his year of service and in January he started studying (business administration, like his older brother). After his stay in Seattle he can speak English fluently which will help him a lot in the future. Jacinto has just finished his first semester at the university - with great success.
There are enough funds left from hike4education 2012 to finance the study of these 2 talented students in 2015 as well.
