I had a long sleep and felt fit again. Big surprise at the breakfast table: it is raining! We put on our ponchos (Las Rojas) and crossed the iron bridge that combines Portugal and Spain.
We arrived in Tui and visited the cathedral; there was more heavy rain and we had a delicious cup of koffie to cheer us up.
From Tui it's "only" 114 km to Santiago de Compostella. The hike led us through meadows, fields, forests, crossing a very old stone bridge, we enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately a terrible industrial zone of some 5 km length was waiting for us, the worst part of the Portuguese Camino.
I never forget the purpose of my hike4education 2013: study finance of 59 High School kids in Guatemala. I sincerely hope that with my hike and all my physical efforts I can inspire you to help funding this important project of NPH Guatemala.
