Day 10: Caldas de Reis - Padrón (19 km )

I'm walking on sunshine
This is the type of weather I had been waiting for giving so much energie: blue sky, hardly any clouds, some 25 degrees. Today's hike led me through beautiful countryside, forests, along little streams, beautiful flowers everywhere. I met some Galician people working in the fields (because today and tomorrow there is no rain). Mostly older people do the hard work in the fields. I had a simple picknick with bread and serrano, some peaches and apricots, water and koffie - delicious, you don't need more to be happy.
After a 7 hour's hike I arrived in Padron which is famous of its biblical background: the boat with the dead body of Santiago landed in Padron, they built a pelgrim's church at the very spot. If you climb up 140 stairs (without a break, please) you arrive at the statue of Santiagiño.
Herewith a selection of photos which look so much brighter today with light and shadow.
