For the fourth time, from 5 to 16 June, I'm going to hike on the Camino de Santiago.This time I will walk 235 km from northern Portugal to Santiago de Compostella (that's the distance from Volendam to Maastricht). By doing so I want to raise funds for a number of talented young orphans from Guatemala to enable them to go to High School. These children don't have parents to bear the costs.
NPH Guatemala, founded in 1996, will celebrate its 17 th birthday this year. More and more children have reached High School age. The school in our home stops after grade 3. To finish secondary school our children have to go to High Schools in neighbouring towns. In 2013 we have 59 High School kids.
