Day 8: Sotojusto - Pontevedra (16 km)

Last night we had a delicious dinner at Hotel Anton with a beautiful vieuw of the Atlantic Ocean. We could watch the sunset and more and more blue sky came up. Hope for tomorrow!
Our host Pepe and his wife are members of the prestigieus "Orden del Camino de Santiago de Compostella". They showed us the traditional robe of the orden which has more than 1000 members in Spain, among them the President of the Government and the president of the government of Galicia. Pepe's wife invited me to try her robe - Pelegrina Beate smiling all over.

Today a short camino to Pontevedra, the rain has stopped !!
And there is even sunshine now at 4 p.m. hiking was nice today through woods and fields and some small villages. Pontevedra, the capital of Galicia, is beautiful: lot's of old churches and monastries, small piazzas with nice bars, arkades everywhere - a city where you feel at home immediately. Herewith the first photos.

One of the most popular places to visit is the chapel of the "Virgin la Pelegrina". The virgin is dressed in a red coat, as a pilgrim. This is unique.

and now with sunshine:
