From May 14-25, 2011 I’m going to walk the second part of the Camino de Santiago in the Pyrenees (a total distance of 200 km), starting in Logroño, passing through Burgos and finishing in Calzadilla de la Cueza close to Leon. The average distance per day will be 20 km. This time I will hike on my own; Julienne, Carla and Marie-Louise cannot join me because of other obligations, but they will give me mental support.
As in 2010 I‘m combining the hike with a sponsoring effort, to raise money for an educational project for orphans of NPH Guatemala (the construction of a preschool centre for both orphans and local children).
